HE LIN

Professor He Lin studied for his PH.D in Biochemistry at the University of Paisley in the UK after studying for his MSc in Human Molecular Genetics at Dong Nan University Medical School, China. He earned his Postdoc at the University of Edinburgh in 1992, then worked as a senior research fellow at the MRC Human Genetics Unit in Edinburgh. Between 1996 and 2001, He Lin was professor and head of the Laboratory of Neuropsychiatric and Human Genetics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Since 2001 he has been professor and director of Bio-X Life Science Research Center, Shanghai JiaoTong University and head of the Joint Laboratory of Neuropsychiatric and Human Genetics of SJTU and CAS, China.
He has been awarded and Honored with National Outstanding Youth Award of China (1997)， “Qiu Shi" Outstanding Youth Prize of Hong Kong (1998)， Shanghai Outstanding Investigator Award for Science and Technology (2001)， NARSAD Outstanding Investigator Award of USA (2001)，Cheung Kong Scholars of Chinese Ministry of Education and Li Ka Shing Foundation.
His research interests include：monogenic disorders, polygenic disorders (psychiatric disorders), pharmacogenomics, bioinformatics, etc.
