ZHAO JINGCHE

Abstract

Zhao Jingche was born in September 1936 at his hometown of Feidong County, Anhui Province.  He took part in work at Taozhuang Coal Mine in Zaozhuang Coal Mine Bureau of Shandong Province in 1957, and entered Hefei Industry University for coal mining and graduated in 1963.  He held the posts of engineer, deputy chief engineer, chief engineer, deputy manager and manager both in Taozhuang Coal Mine and Xingliongzhuang Coal Mine of Yanzhou Coal Mine Bureau successively before 1986.  From 1986 to March 1996, he was appointed as the vice president, president and professional senior engineer of Yanzhou Coal Mine Bureau; and in April of same year, he acts as the chairman & president, chairman of Yanzhou Mining Group Corporation Limited.
Mr. Zhao is not only a mining specialist with creative consciousness, but also an outstanding entrepreneur with strategic foresight.  He himself directed and implemented the comprehensive technical reform for old coal mine and made the old one become the best profitable mine in China at that time as he worked in Taozhuang Cola Mine. And during,his tenure of office in Xinglongzhuang Coal Mine from 1981 to 1986, cooperating with the Coal Science Institute, he organized to carry out 8 scientific and teclmical tackle key subjects and 38 sub-subjects, and develop the fully -   mechanization and modernization of the coal mine.  He implemented the   technical test of comprehensive caving mining method in 1992 and the   annual capacity is increased from 0.6 - 0.7 million tons to 3 - 4 million   tons per working face, the reality output is broken to 500 million tons in   1998 and reached the advanced level of the world.  Being the lead of Mr.   Zhao, this advanced technologyis won the special grade prize of progress   in science & technology of pre-Ministry of China Coal Industry, and the   first class prize of progress in science & technology of the State.  He has   public his special works of ”coal mining under the buildings, waters and   railways“ and puts into effect positively to provide the reliable technical   method for such conditions.  Under his leadership and promotion,   Yanzhou Mining Group is becoming the advanced technology and the   best economic efficiency enterprise among the coal sector of China, and   is awarded one of 14 the best economic efficiency enterprises by the State   Council, and the first coal enterprise successful in public shares of the   company in New York, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
