Liu Yongjian

Liu Yongjian, was born in Lengshuijiang City of Hunan Province in November 1961. In 1982, he was graduated from Aerospace Engineering Department of National University of Defence Technology. He has got Bachelor of Engineering Degree, Master of Engineering Degree, Master of Strategics Degree and Doctor of Engineering Degree successively. Now being the director of Radar and EW Institute of EAAF, Mr.Liu is the member of Expert Consultative Board for Military Products Finalization Committee of State Council and Central Military Commission, the specialist of the review committee of National Science and Technology Award, the deputy director of National Military Radar Standardization Technology Committee, the member of the EW specialized technical team of PLA General Equipment Department, and the editorinchief of Radar and EW magazine.
Mr.Liu has been engaged in scientific researches on military equipment for a long time. He has managed the demonstration of the first native dedicated strategic XXXX reconnaissance plane, of the first airborne communication reconnaissance system, of the first XXX comprehensive training field, and has managed the development of the first native EW helicopter with XXXXXX capabilities, of the first dedicated XXXX test plane, as well as of Air Force Aviation XXXX Reconnaissance Equipment System Construction. Some of the scientific achievements fill up the domestic blank. He has made important contribution to the development of PLA EW equipment.
Mr.Liu has been taking in charge of making the research on AF Aviation XXXX Reconnaissance Equipment System Construction for more than 20 years. The equipment system structure has been firstly brought forward and created, integrating with intelligence acquisition, analysis processing, command and control, transferring distribution, and application management. All together 12 China military standards and 2 professional standards have been worked out. Consequently, many critical technologies have been broken through such as direction finding, location, data fusion, etcThe breakthrough for concerned AF equipments has been realized from out of nothing to become systematical development and construction. The achievement “Air Force Aviation XXXX Reconnaissance Equipment System Construction” from the subject has got the second prize of National Technology Progress Award.
XXX EW helicopter which Mr.Liu has managed as the director of the subject is native first EW helicopter with XXXXXX capability. The helicopter is thought as “to fill up the domestic blank, be with great innovation. The comprehensive technologies have reached our country’s leading level and the international advanced level.” The achievement “XXXXXXXXXX Helicopter” from the subject has got the second prize of National Technology Progress Award.
Altogether Mr.Liu has got the second prize of National Technology Progress Award for 2 times and the first prize of Military Technology Progress Award for 5 times, obtained 16 items of patents. His 3 professional books and 2 translating works have been published. In 2001, Mr.Liu was obtained the Governmental Special Allowance, and honored with the Military Outstanding Professional Technology Award in 2010. He has got Merit Citation Class II for 4 times and Merit Citation Class III for 2 times successively by his great achievements.
